If you’re looking for something fun to do in New York City, you need to check out Happy Medium Art Cafe. Yesterday, my friend and I made our way to the Happy Medium Art Cafe, nestled in the Two Bridges neighborhood of Manhattan on Market Street. As soon as we stepped inside, I was enveloped in an atmosphere that can only be described as refreshing โ simultaneously chill, positive, and profoundly inspiring.
The interior of the art cafe is a testament to artistic aesthetics. It exudes an earthly, light, and airy feel, adorned with decor that’s tastefully designed to kindle the flames of inspiration within you. The playlist that filled the room was nothing short of immaculate, providing the perfect experience and backdrop to our creative endeavors.
What sets Happy Medium apart from your typical cafe is its unique concept. Instead of the usual menu of beverages and bites, they hand you a menu filled with art experiences. In their own words, Happy Medium operates much like a restaurant. You order your chosen art experience, and the friendly staff serve you table side. The best part? They handle the cleanup once your masterpiece is complete. It’s an ideal place to nurture your artistic spirit, whether you’re gathering with friends or embarking on a solo journey of self-expression.
Their menu had a few different options to choose from such as “paint-a-pot” where you get to choose one of their ready-to-paint items, collaging, watercolors, and more. I decided to embark on an air-dry clay adventure, while my friend chose the path of watercolor painting. No matter what you choose, they had a wealth of art supplies in the space, from hundreds of art books, art objects, and fresh flowers on hand to keep your creativity flowing. It’s truly a space where inspiration knows no bounds.
I can’t help but wholeheartedly recommend a visit to Happy Medium Art Cafe. It’s an experience that’s unlike anything I’ve encountered in the city. If you find yourself in NYC or are planning a visit, do yourself a favor and carve out some time to explore this creative haven. Happy Medium is definitely one of the best places to have a good time and add to your “things to do in NYC” list ๐
